Yapı Kredi focuses on health and safety of its employees as they are the key to the Bank's success. The Bank ensures continuous supervision and improvement regarding this subject.

Yapı Kredi Occupational Health and Safety Policy

Yapı Kredi prepared a policy to serve as a guide that describes Occupational Health and Safety applications of Yapı ve Kredi Bankası A.Ş.

In order to develop corrective and preventive actions regarding safety of work areas and health of employees and to assure the continuity of these actions, Occupational Health and Safety unit is established under Human Resouces and Organisation Department.

Additionally, Yapı Kredi is a member of Koç Group Occupational Health and Safety Coordination Board. This board is established by Koç Holding, one of the main shareholders of Yapı Kredi, for monitoring occupational health and safety practices, mainstreaming best practices and revision studies within all Koç Group workplaces, including Yapı Kredi.

Main Actions Regarding Health And Safety Operations

Yapı Kredi prepared Emergency Action Plans for headquarters, regional buildings, branches and all other service points. These emergency plans include emergency response team, emergency response procedures and action plans (medical call, fire action plan, earthquake action plan, etc.).

Yapı Kredi conducts its health and safety activities together with the partner health and safety unit.Risk assessment studies for all locations are completed in 2015. Action plans with regards to the risk assessment results are under implementation.

All Yapı Kredi employeesare required to complete 8 hours of in-class training and 4 hours of distant training on occupational health and safety within a predefined period.

Monitoring of Health and Safety Indicators

In 2015:

• Medical check-ups are performed on 1,178 employees during the recruitment process and periodic health controls are completed for 3,274 employees.
• 7,668 employees attended Occupational Health and Safety in-class training.
• 23 work accidents occurred in 2015. (No fatal accident occurred in 2015.)
