Yapı Kredi was established as the first retail oriented private bank in Turkey and now the Bank is the fourth largest private bank in Turkey as of 1H18 with TL 365.1 billion of assets (USD 80 billion). Yapı Kredi is one of the 10 most valuable brands in Turkey with “Dedicated to Deliver” motto driven customer centric approach, giving priority to innovation, dedicated workforce and supporting the development of the banking sector. The Bank ranks 3rd in total cash and non-cash loans with 10.2% market share. Cash loan and deposit market share of the Bank is at 9.2% and 9.4%, respectively.

Yapı Kredi has a strong shareholding structure which ensures sustainable and profitable growth. The Bank’s main shareholder is Koç Financial Services (KFS) with 81.9% ownership. KFS is a 50%-50% joint venture between Koç Group and UniCredit Group. The remaining 18.1% is publicly traded on Borsa Istanbul. In addition, the Global Depository Receipts that represent the Bank’s shares are quoted on the London Stock Exchange.
Yapı Kredi is a fully integrated financial services group supported by domestic and international subsidiaries. The Bank serves its customers through (i) retail banking (comprising of individual banking, private banking, Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SME) banking and card payment systems) and (ii) corporate and commercial banking, supported by domestic subsidiaries in asset management, brokerage, leasing and factoring as well as international banking operations in the Netherlands, Azerbaijan and Malta.
The Bank provides high quality products and services to its loyal and diversified active customer base of 13.3 million (total: 23.5 million) through a widespread service network. Yapı Kredi’s branch network consists of 866 branches covering all regions of Turkey supported by a young, dynamic and dedicated workforce of 18,327 people as of 1H18. In addition, YapıKredi has advanced alternative delivery channels (ADCs) which handle 92% of total banking transactions. The Bank’s ADCs comprise of an ATM network with 4,304 ATMs, innovative internet banking, leading mobile banking, direct banking, three call centres and 771 thousand POS terminals as of 1H18.
YapıKredi maintains leading positions in value generating services and products. In credit cards, YapıKredi has been the market leader for the last 29 years and maintains leadership position in outstanding volume (21.1% market share), issuing volume (19.3% market share), acquiring volume (19.4% market share) and number of credit cards (17.7% market share). The Bank also has leading positions in leasing (#1 with 20.4% market share), factoring (#1 with 14.2% market share), mutual funds (#2 with 17.5% market share) and brokerage (#2 with 8.9% market share).
