On 18 December 2013, Yapı Kredi signed a new subordinated loan facility agreement with UniCredit Bank Austria. The facility amounts to USD 470 million with 10 years tenor (pre-payable after five years) at 6.35% coupon rate (midswap+4.68% after the first five years). The loan amount was transferred to YKB’s account on the same day.

In addition, on 19 December 2013, Yapı Kredi repaid its existing €350 million subordinated loan facility granted in April 2006 by Goldman Sachs International Bank, as resolved by Yapı Kredi’s Board of Directors on 21 November 2013.

The net positive impact of these transactions is expected to be ~40 bps on YKB’s capital adequacy ratio as of November 2013.
