Macroeconomic Research activities of the Yapi Kredi Bank are conducted within the Strategic Planning and Research Section. In the Section, Strategic Planning team focuses on the financial sector as a whole and banking system more specifically, while macroeconomic research team focuses on the analysis of the macroeconomic environment in which Yapi Kredi Bank is operating. Both teams also prepare forecasts covering a wide range of issues from banking sector aggregates to economic performance indicators such as inflation, growth and interest rates.
Strategic Planning and Research Section communicates the analysis and forecasts that the teams conduct via presentations, meetings, conferences, and more importantly reports. Macroeconomic Research team prepares reports both for the bank management itself and for our customers. These reports consist of both periodicals-such as the weekly macro comment and occasional papers, as well as a highly-respected academic journal in the name of Yapi Kredi Economic Review.
The reports prepared by UCI New Europe Research Network that focus on Central and Eastern Europe on various subjects concerning economic and financial environment are also available to our customers, the sections concerning Turkey in the reports are prepared with coordination- or solely by Yapi Kredi Strategic Planning and Research Section.

Occasional Macro Notes are non-periodic publications on various research subjects prepared by Strategic Planning and Research Section. Main objectives are; to propose new approaches, to provide different perspectives and/or to conduct supplementary analyses regarding the economic/financial issues. While the scope of analyses is limited compared to that of an average discussion paper, exploratory aspects are in the forefront.
Macro Briefs prepared by the Strategic Planning and Research Department of Yapi Kredi are short assesment pieces published upon announcement of basic macroeconomic indicators providing necessary details and possible trends in those indicators in a nutshell.
