UniCredit and UNEP-FI

The United Nations Environmental Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP-FI), a global partnership between UNEP and the private financial sector, was signed by UniCredit, one of Yapı Kredi's shareholders. Yapı Kredi, a joint venture between UniCredit and Koç Holding, adheres to the precepts of UNEP-FI, espousing climate change as one of the greatest risks for humanity. As such, this initiative strives to minimize the effects of commercial businesses on climate change and to reduce all concomitant risks.
