Yapı Kredi Capital Increase
YKB increased its issued capital by YTL 920mn, from YTL 3,427,051,284 to YTL 4,347,051,284 within the Bank’s registered capital ceiling of YTL 5bn. The rights subscription period took place between 18 July - 1 August 2008. 99.85% subscription was achieved.
The rump period, which took place on 7,8 and 11 August was completed with the sale of all of the remaining unsubscribed shares amounting to YTL 1,405,174,784.
The capital increase is aimed at further supporting Yapı Kredi’s long term growth plan and leadership ambitions as well as strengthening its capital base and providing additional cushion in light of regulatory changes and financial volatility.
