Having assumed the position of Head of Investor Relations at Yapi Kredi Bank since August 2006, Ms. Hale Tunaboylu was appointed as the Head of Investor Relations and Strategic Planning in May 2009. In May 2009, Ms. Tunaboylu was awarded second place in the Best Investor Relations Officer category within the framework of Turkey’s First Investor Relations Awards organized by Thomson Reuters/Acclaro. Prior to her role at Yapi Kredi Bank, she was Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Business Development and Investor Relations at Garanti Bank between December 2003 and August 2006. Ms. Tunaboylu's prior experience includes two years as an investment banker at Salomon Smith Barney in New York; two years in the strategic planning, business development, economic research and EU affairs department at Koç Holding; two years at the Brussels office of AB Consultancy and Investment Services, a consulting firm specializing in EU affairs, and a 9 month internship in the European Commission in Brussels. Ms. Tunaboylu holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master of Science in International Political Economy from London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from Middle East Technical University in Ankara. Currently, Ms. Tunaboylu is a member of the board of directors of the Turkish Investor Relations Society.
